Landscape Construction (Nov 21-Nov 22, 2026)

Grab a hammer, a drill and a saw, and let’s build something epic together right here on the farm!

Learn to use your tools safely and with confidence, swap stories with neighbors who love growing food and caring for the land, and probably make a few new friends along the way. Then you’ll head home ready to tackle the projects every homestead needs: worm bins, benches, garden structures, covered shelters, and more!

What We’ll Build Together

Over the weekend, we’ll transform a patch of bare ground into a beautiful, open-air timber shelter, complete with sturdy posts, a strong frame, and a sweeping roof that provides protection from the sun and rain. You’ll get your hands on every stage along the way:

🧱 Foundation: set the base everything else depends on

🪵 Post-and-beam framing: Raise the posts, connect the beams, and build the structure that carries the load.

🏠 Roof raising: Frame and finish a broad, gently sloping roof that brings the whole structure together.

By the end of the weekend, we’ll have built a lasting shelter from the ground up—and you’ll have the skills and confidence to bring your own building projects to life.
