Americana

Reddish-brown hybrid willow with good weaving quality. A cross between S. eriocephala and S. petiolaris, long used as a basketry willow in Europe and now regaining recognition in North America.
Bleu

Striking French violet willow with upright growth and slender, flexible rods ideal for basketry and living structures. Stems shift from red and green to rich reddish-purple as they mature, with dark blue-green foliage and black spring catkins for dramatic winter interest.
Brittany Green

Daphnoides
Coppiced height & color: pale violet twigs maturing to turquoise with a white bloom

Dark Dicks

Gmelini

Adaptable to a wide range of soils and tolerant of brief periods of standing water. Fast-growing and best coppiced for its striking rods, making it excellent for large weaving projects, biomass, and fedges.
Harrison B
Species: S. × rubra
Coppiced height & color: 6–10' · reddish-brown stems
Stocky willow with beautiful color and good weaving quality. Works well as a large ornamental tree, for living structures, or for sturdy rods.
Hutchinson Yellow
Species: Salix × rubens
Noted for its brilliant egg yolk-yellow rods that add a vivid splash of color to the landscape, especially in winter. Excellent for screens and hedges.
Interior
Coppiced height & color: suckering shrub or small tree forming dense thickets
Interior willow is ideal for stabilizing wetlands and riparian areas thanks to its dense, fibrous roots. It forms thickets in sandy soils along streams, rivers, and shores and can be used for phytoremediation and weaving.

Kariangi

Showcases dense green foliage from spring through late autumn. Excellent for structure making, cut stems, supporting early-season pollinators, and adding winter color.

Ideal for riparian zones and wet soils where it helps prevent erosion. Known for rapid growth and profuse sprouting from the base, making it excellent for streambank restoration and weaving.
Winter Green

A miyabeana selection with bright green stems that really pop in a winterscape. Produces abundant catkins that attract pollinators. First-year rods are very straight and can reach around 10' in a year, making it excellent for living structures and fences.
