Coppiced height & color: suckering shrub or small tree forming dense thickets

Interior willow is ideal for stabilizing wetlands and riparian areas thanks to its dense, fibrous roots. It forms thickets in sandy soils along streams, rivers, and shores and can be used for phytoremediation and weaving.

Note about Interior willow: Interior willow is excellent for stabilizing wetlands and riparian areas, but it can be invasive in some regions. Plant thoughtfully and check local guidance before introducing it beyond controlled plantings.
